Who We Support

St Martins offer supported accommodation services for adults (18+) who have complex and enduring mental health needs which relate to a mental health diagnosis and affect their ability to live without support.

St Martins range of services are currently either male only or mixed, however emphasis is placed on providing females in our mixed services with a safe environment that takes their needs into consideration.

The people we support may also have the following range of additional mental health support needs:

  • Mild learning disability or autism spectrum disorder
  • Substance misuse / dual diagnosis
  • Challenging and/ or anti-social behaviour
  • Risk of exploitation and harm
  • Lack of motivation with daily living tasks or to engage in activities
  • Physical health needs
  • Offending behaviour
  • Self-harm
  • Periods of mental health crisis
  • Support with administration of medication

People that move into our services may be:

  • Discharged from hospital mental health wards
  • ‘Stepping down’ or ‘stepping up’ from existing accommodation facilities that do not adequately fit their needs
  • Homeless due to their mental illness
  • Currently in accommodation that is not suitable to meet their mental health needs
  • An out of borough placement returning to London
