St Martins ran 380 training sessions for its staff in 2016.
St Martins offers its staff a comprehensive training program. There is a mandatory requirement for all staff to attend core training, particularly in relation to mental capacity acts, statutory rights, equality and diversity, best practice in health and safety and anything essential to carrying out an individual’s job description.
In addition, staff and their managers are encouraged to seek further areas for training and development as part of an annual appraisal process. St Martins’ staff are asked to be proactive in suggesting any training or development opportunities that will enhance their performance. Staff are also rewarded for making any policy suggestions which become implemented by the organisation.
