Two services users, Hopeton Elliot and Catherine Cox, were appointed to the Board of St Martins at the AGM held on the 27th September 2007. This is the first time St Martins has had service users on its board and demonstrates the organisations commitment to listen to service users and empower them to make positive changes in their lives.

St Martins has developed a partnership with an arts organisation to enable service users develop the skills and confidence to express themselves creatively. Art of Life have worked with St Martins service users for almost one year, and in that time, have facilitated service users to produce an impressive body of work, including short films, music, poems, electronic CVs and a newsletter. St Martins has been commissioned by Islington PCT to develop and manage a high support, 11 bed accommodation scheme for people with mental health problems, moving from hospital settings. The scheme will open in October 2008.
